Due to the health crisis, the fourth edition of the Normandy World Peace Forum, which was initially scheduled to be held on June 3 and 4, 2021, has been postponed to September 30 and October 1, 2021 at the Abbaye aux Dames in Caen. This year for the fourth edition, the main theme is “World peace and global security: how to govern peace? ». The fourth edition of the Normandy World Peace Forum will offer avenues for reflection and action to better govern peace around two major questions: why is peace escaping us? And how can we regain control of peace? These are the questions to be debated and rise to perhaps find proper answers and imagine solutions towards peace, via a smart and balanced governance to keep a global security in the world that is going through the pandemic of COVID-19.

After the success of the 2020 edition, the Forum returns with 2 days of discussions and activities open to all audiences: 2 plenary sessions, 21 debates including 5 dedicated to youth, will address topical issues around points of view of nearly 150 experts, political representatives and civil society from around the world.

The Freedom Prize: for this third edition, the Freedom Prize Trophy will be awarded by a jury of young people and Nadia Khiari (President of the Jury) to the Afghan rapper Sonita Alizada for her fight against forced marriage. She will succeed Loujain Al-Hathloul and Greta Thunberg.
The cultural evening "Education, science and culture for peace" organized in partnership with the French Delegation to UNESCO The Normandy 2021 Index: designed by the Research Service of the European Parliament, this tool makes it possible to assess threats to peace and security in the world
The Focus "The stakes for peace, from the Mediterranean to the Middle East" through debates around Libya, Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran or the legacy of the Arab Spring But also ... photo exhibitions, presentations of projects for peace led by NGOs and associations, events such as "Journalism and fake news", concerts, etc.-------------------------------------------------------------
